rhythm

Nature has a rhythm; one season comes and hands down to another. The components are synchronized to a preset musical that beats and plays nature’s music. Everything in this world seems to have a rhythm. Our heart has a rhythm, our sleeping cycle has a rhythm, our intestines have a rhythm, our nerves have a rhythm, even giving birth has a rhythm, and everything beats to its rhythm.

If we look at our surroundings, the sun and moon have a rhythm, the animals and plants have their rhythms, the microscopic bacteria’s movement has a rhythm, the oceans and seas have a rhythm, and the weather and the season have a rhythm. A synchronized musical, beating to a majestic melody, that’s beyond our perceived insight.

We also tend to live in a rhythm. We mostly follow the rhythms set for us by the people before us. We try to match their beats and try even more not to make a mess. We give our best to get in the rhythm and be seen as a man or a woman that fits in. The system reward those that align with it, know it and do it as well.

The problem, we live in a world that’s constantly changing. Something that I can tell for sure, change is inevitable. It continues to change, adapt and evolve. But some things keep beating to the same rhythms. Throughout the years we live, we have seasons. We are sure of their occurrence; they come and leave within the days we know or expect them to do so.

The question to ask now is, which beat are we singing to, dancing to, and aligning to? The choices are increasing so much that we get into this decision fatigue. It becomes a burden to listen to every musical: trying to move our feet right and dance right. To be in a continuous state of alertness and choose the right rhythms for the right moments, tiresome, even thoughts beat us down.

What if there is only one rhythm we need? What if there was only one rhythm that was there throughout time?  What if all nature’s parts are beating to one rhythm? These are all a question worthy of answers. This would make our lives easier and our decisions even better. We get used to one rhythm; it becomes second nature to us. Our bodies will be automated to carry out a single task, to get everything we have into that rhythm.

Every musical masterpiece has a genius behind it; each beat and note were put down with patience. The existence of music asks a question of a musician. If we agree on nature’s great music, we ask of the musician. It is singing out to us about the greatness of the musician. A creation, pointing out to its creator.

Today, I want us to find that rhythm. The rhythm above all rhythms, the rhythm oceans sing to, the rhythm birds sing to, the rhythm the seasons sing to, the rhythm our hearts beat to, the rhythm every being is meant to rhyme to, the rhythm of the great musician. Let us get our dancing feet and dance to nature’s music. Match beat by beat till we are one with it, till there is no separation. Let us dance to the creator’s rhythm. I hope you find your rhythm.
